Powder coating is a kind of surface treatment technology using dry powder form of coating, uniformly adsorbed on the surface of the workpiece under the action of static electricity, after high temperature curing to form a strong and durable coating. Composition

Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or polyethylene (PE) resin.

Resin: such as epoxy resin, polyurethane resin, acrylic resin, etc.
Curing agent: such as triple glycidyl isocyanate (TGIC), imidazole curing agent, etc.
Pigments: Includes inorganic pigments and organic pigments.
Fillers: such as calcium carbonate, aluminum hydroxide, etc.
Auxiliaries: such as defoamer, flow auxiliaries, etc.
Leveling agent: such as silicone oil, acrylic polymer, etc.

Classification

1. Classified according to the type of film forming resin
Thermoplastic powder coatings: This type of coating uses a thermoplastic resin as a film forming substance, which melts after heating and solidifies after cooling. Common varieties include polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, polyamide and so on.
Thermosetting powder coating: This type of coating is based on a thermosetting resin, which needs to be added with curing agent and heated to form a hard network crosslinked coating. The main varieties are epoxy resin, polyester, polyurethane and acrylic resin.

2. Classified by coating method
Electrostatic spraying powder coating: The powder is adsorbed on the surface of the workpiece using the principle of electrostatic attraction, which is suitable for the painting of various complex shapes of the workpiece.
